The doctor is very happy with Zack's 18 month appointment. He weighs 22 lbs (10 kg) and is 33 inches (84 cm) tall, which makes him slightly smaller than Aiden at this age. But that is what to get when you are a picky eater!
My little baby is 18 months already and I have to face the fact that he is no longer a baby! He is talking up a storm, are always on the move and love cars and jets. :) He is still a picky eater unlike his brother, but I discovered that I can get him to eat all kinds of veggies, when baked into muffins! We are going to his 18 month doctor's visit on Friday and will write again with all the stats.
The last week of the vacation was spent in South Lake Tahoe. The weather was perfect, with clear sunny days in the beginning of the week and fresh powder the last two days. We took the boys tubing with us. My heart raced after every run because that tube really picked up speed going down the slope, but when we came to a stop, Aiden would yell: Again!!!! Zack just smiled all the way down. We also signed Aiden up for a morning of ski school. He did really well and kept his balance every time. But he was more impressed with his ski goggles and ski's than the actual skiing.
My brother and sister-in-law joined the family gathering over New Year's. We spent an afternoon in San Francisco, took them to a Sacramento Kings basketball game, had a fantastic wine tasting trip in Napa and generally ate to much.
We had a wonderful few days over Christmas. My parents are in town and the boys love having them around. Airplanes, specifically jets and space shuttles, were the winning gifts from Santa. It is so sweet to see how Zack watches Aiden play with the planes and then copy every sound and move.
We had a fantastic weekend with friends visiting from Vancouver, Canada. We spent Saturday morning in Apple Hill, enjoying the local apple pie and wine. The boys thought this was the ultimate adventure because there was something fun to climb on or play with at each stop.
