Fathers Day Weekend

I took some time off last week and was able to spend four exciting days with my family. On Wednesday night Aiden and I camped in our back yard. He slept better and longer than he usually does in his bed! On Thursday we went to see "UP" at the movies and it is a great movie for kids and adults. Thursday afternoon we went to the El Dorado County Fair in Placerville. Aiden enjoyed seeing and touching all the farm animals. The sheep scared Zack somewhat.

We then headed to Sonoma and met up with the Montoyas at a very nice house that they rented for the weekend. Friday James and I took Josh and Aiden to Infineon Raceway to watch the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice rounds. This was a dream come true for Aiden as he saw all his "heros" like Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Jimmy Johnson, and Juan Pablo Montoya (no relation to James and Josh). The cars were loud, but the boys really enjoyed the experience. Both ended up with Tony Stewart "Old Spice" t-shirts which they wore proudly, even though Tony only came in second.

On Saturday afternoon the adults got to do some wine tasting as we tag-teamed watching the kids. Sunday morning we took the kids to Train Town in Sonoma - a really nice little place for young kids. There is a 20-minute train ride with a stop half-way at a miniature town with a petting zoo. We put Zack and Aiden in the miniature jail and they were a little worried for a while that we might leave them...
