Zack was born shortly after noon today after a quick labour and delivery process for which we are all extremely thankful. Mom and baby are resting at the hospital tonight and are expected to come home on Friday.
The events of the day were as follows:
6am - Mom starts experiencing labour-like contractions close apart.
8:30am - Mom tells Dad he better end his conference call and take her to hospital.
9am - We check into the hospital
11:15am - Dr Haskins arrives
11:45am - Mom starts the pushing process
12:04pm - Zack sees his first daylight, a beautiful sunny day in California
2pm - Zack gets his first bath
3pm - A visit to the nursery to draw some blood
5pm - Aiden and Grandma come visit
6pm - First opportunity for a decent nap (3 hours!)
9pm - First decent feeding (40 minutes)
10pm - Sleep time and the end of Zack's first day...
